# Web Search

> Run an AI-powered web search from the Croma API and get structured results: URLs, titles, authors, dates, highlighted excerpts and relevance scores.

Runs an AI-powered web search and returns structured results: URLs, titles,
authors, dates, highlights, and relevance scores.

`POST /global/web-search/v1`

| `query` | string | **Required.** 3-300 chars. |
| `limit` | integer | 1-25 results. Default `10`. |

  On the free plan, Web Search has an hourly ceiling of **100 requests per
  hour** per organization. Paid plans have no hourly ceiling: each call spends
  10 credits from the plan. See [Rate limits](/rate-limits).
